High Peak Climbing Group
The High Peak Climbing Group is a small club that meets and climbs mainly in the Derbyshire Peak District.
We meet at the crag on alternate Sundays all year, and as you would expect, some of us meet up on weekdays and weekday evenings at the wall, or outside in the summer. On the other weekends most of us still climb, either in the Peak or elsewhere. We have had trips to Lundy, Wales in winter or summer and various venues in Spain, Greece, or France.
The club has been operating for over 25 years. We have members ranging from 20 to 75 years old with both women and men actively climbing.
The HPCG is affiliated to the BMC and members of the group automatically have basic BMC membership which can be upgraded with the BMC to full membership.
If you are interested in climbing, and you have some climbing experience can lead traditional climbs or have aspirations to lead "trad" climbs, get in contact.
